Ignoring the reactions of the wizards below, Avery continued, "Judging from the current observational responses, this wonder is neither a common spatial storm, nor an energy tide or temporal turbulence. The exact situation will need to be confirmed by the reconnaissance team."
A wonder, by its very nature, is a "consequence" of vast quantities of elements converging within the Endless Chaotic Void. When massive amounts of elements converge in an orderly fashion, a plane is born; when they converge in chaos, a disaster is born.
Due to the properties of the Endless Chaotic Void itself, common wonders take the form of extremely large spatial storms, immensely powerful energy tides, or hard-to-detect temporal turbulence. These correspond to the convergence of wind, fire, and water elements respectively.
As for why there is no earth element, it is because earth element is far more inert than the other three. Even when concentrated, it tends to form a stable zone. With luck, such a region can become the foundation for the birth of a plane.
However... this wonder did not belong to any of the three common types. Jie Ming fell into thought.
This generally indicated that a massive assortment of different elements had converged in the area and, through a stroke of coincidence, had reached a certain ratio, creating a brand-new form of elemental energy.
Under ordinary circumstances, this should have led to the birth of a plane based on this new element. However, if an accident occurred during the birth process, the plane's formation could collapse, giving rise to disaster.
Based on Jie Ming's knowledge, these kinds of wonders were the most troublesome to deal with. Before the properties of the new elemental energy were fully understood, approaching them was extremely dangerous.
On the stage, Dean Avery Knight continued. "Because the primary elemental energy forming this wonder seems to have the ability to affect time and space, the degree of temporal and spatial chaos in that region of the Endless Chaotic Void is extremely high. In addition, this chaos has already begun affecting the surrounding environment, and it seems to have even interfered with plane exploration."
Hearing this, Jie Ming instinctively turned to look at Augusta. Coincidentally, Augusta also turned to look at him at the same time. Their eyes met, and they both knew what the other was thinking.
So this was the reason the Augusta family had said that the interference was too strong and that they would need more time to calculate the exact coordinates—it was all because of this wonder's influence.
"In short, because of this, the exact coordinates of the wonder cannot be confirmed for the time being. Although the Workshop has already sent people to verify in person, due to the temporal chaos in the surrounding environment, we may not receive a response in a short time. Therefore, we must plan early." As he spoke, Avery lightly tapped the air. A void route slowly extended across the light screen, finally converging with the grayish-black region.
"Although the exact time cannot be determined, according to the Workshop's route and rough calculations of the surrounding area, in approximately fifteen hundred years, the plane cluster belonging to the Noren Workshop will come into direct contact with this wonder."
The Wizard Civilization's prime plane had completely spiraled out of control due to an unknown experiment hosted by a certain Rank 9 wizard. The entire prime plane had transformed into a terrifying sphere of light, endlessly expanding with infinitely growing energy.
Even to this day, that sphere continued to slowly swell. Any plane that drew near would be utterly devoured, leaving not a trace. For this reason, the countless planes under the Wizard Civilization's control were always slowly sailing away from that sphere.
Every faction was like a massive plane fleet, endlessly traversing the Endless Chaotic Void with no final destination.
In a sense, the entire Wizard Civilization was itself a "wonder," albeit one on an absurdly enormous scale.
The very first time Jie Ming fused with a plane to observe the Endless Chaotic Void, he had already seen the sphere of light formed from the prime plane.
The "route" Dean Avery mentioned was the path the Noren Workshop had taken to flee the prime plane. The newly discovered wonder was an obstacle blocking that escape route.
The wizards present all understood the situation, but their emotions remained largely stable; only low murmurs of discussion arose. After all, there was still more than a thousand years to prepare.
Even for high-rank wizards with long lifespans, a thousand years was not a number that could be easily ignored. That was plenty of time to make complete preparations.
Dean Avery's gaze slowly swept across everyone present. "Since the exact time of the encounter cannot be determined, I would like all of you to refrain from long-distance expeditions starting a thousand years from now, and to remain at the academy as much as possible."
"After all, the Workshop will likely need to concentrate all of its top-tier combat power to jointly respond to this disaster."
"Of course, once the exact time is calculated, I will notify you all again, and you can arrange your time accordingly." The wizards present nodded in agreement with Dean Avery's request.
But even with this knowledge, the wizards did not feel much urgency. To put it plainly, the reason one had to carefully resolve a wonder was that the wonder itself was a resource. However, if it truly couldn't be handled with gentle methods... the Noren Workshop had two Rank 8 wizards.
At worst, those two Rank 8 wizards could simply blast straight through it. A Rank 8 wizard's Law Solidification rendered them immune to all flashy special effects, while their terrifying combat power and vast knowledge base ensured they were more than capable of handling any crisis.
It could be said that every Rank 8 wizard was the pillar of stability for a faction.
This was also why, back when the Noren Workshop had only one Rank 8 wizard, it could only be considered a small-to-medium faction even if it huddled together with the Chaos Secret Cult and the Tower of Annihilation.
Judged alone, it would only be a small faction. But once Senior Anton advanced to Rank 8, even if the Noren Workshop stood alone, its faction rating would rise to medium. Because having one extra Rank 8 wizard was not simply about doubling combat strength.
More importantly, two Rank 8 wizards could take turns garrisoning the faction. It would no longer be the case that if one Rank 8 wizard was away on a mission for a thousand years, the entire faction would be helpless in the face of major unexpected problems.
The meeting did not last long. After Dean Avery explained the situation, he announced the end of the meeting, and everyone rose to leave one after another. Viola vanished the moment the meeting ended; no one knew where she had gone.
Jie Ming glanced at Augusta and nodded to her as a greeting. The two did not speak further, each stepping onto a teleportation formation and leaving.
